Danish supercar maker Zenvo Automotive has taken the wraps off its newest hypercar – the Aurora.
The Zenvo Aurora is called after the pure phenomena often known as the ‘Northern Lights’ or Aurora Borealis. It’s the lightest and strongest street automotive the corporate has ever produced.
The Aurora hypercar relies on an all-new ZM1 modular monocoque. It is available in two variants – the aggressively styled ‘Agil’ and the extra road-focused ‘Tur’. Each fashions function a flowing, aerodynamic chassis design, channelling airflow cleanly over, beneath and thru the construction itself. Being the grand touring variant, the Aurora Tur has a cleaner design, whereas the track-focused Agil will get a large rear spoiler and a extra centered entrance finish.
On the coronary heart of the Zenvo Aurora is a 6.6-liter quad-turbocharged V12 engine developed by MAHLE Powertrain. It encompasses a 90-degree hot-V configuration. The interior combustion engine is paired with a hybrid system.
The Aurora Tur options three 200 hp electrical motors – an built-in e-motor and one on every entrance wheel. The mixed output is 1850 hp @ 9800 rpm and 1254 lb-ft of torque.
The Aurora Agil makes use of the identical engine apart from the 2 electrical motors mounted on the entrance axle. Because of this, mixed output is restricted to 1450 hp @ 9800 rpm whereas peak torque is 1033 lb-ft. Each variants use a 7-speed paddle shift gearbox.
In response to Zenvo, the track-focused Agil can speed up from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds and has a prime velocity of 227 mph. Alternatively, the Tur will hit 62 mph in 2.3 seconds and speed up all the way in which to 280 mph.
